Rogue One: A Star Wars Story earned $155 million it’s opening weekend making it the second largest December opening in history (even though it was still almost 40% lower than The Force Awakens). Global numbers show that the film made $290.5 million. As of today that number doesn’t include China which is the second largest market anticipating this movie. We’ll see what happens when it opens there on January 6, 2017.

Colin Furze teamed up with eBay to bring this AT- ACT in honor of the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The catch to the build was that everything he needed to build it needed to be purchased on eBay. The build took about a month and after it was done… they decided to give it away. Check out the video below to see some highlights of the project.

Last week we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Walt’s passing and the D23 group celebrated by having Walt Week. During this week, Richard Sherman joined a small audience which included Disney execs to sing Walt’s favorite and a song that describes the “whimsical work” created at the studio.
Oscar Martinez, 81, just celebrated a huge milestone at Disneyland. He was hired one year after Disneyland opened and started as a busboy before becoming a chef and is one of the very few that still hold the honor of having interacted and worked with Walt.
So what about these potatoes that everyone talks about that are part of the “Oscar’s Choice” menu item? Luckily, once upon a time, the Disney Parks Blog gave us the recipe to Oscar’s Potatoes so that you can make them in the comfort of your own home. Enjoy!
1 large white onion, cut in half and thinly sliced 4 tablespoons butter, divided 2 pounds red potatoes, thinly sliced Coarse salt, freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Sauté onions in 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat until translucent; remove from pan and set aside. In the same pan, add remaining butter and potatoes and sauté until lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine the onions and potatoes in an ovenproof casserole dish; cover with foil and make small slits for ventilation. Bake 45 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Serve hot.
Congratulations, Oscar! Cheers to many more magical years!
