The Queen Mary has long been a floating hotel in the Long Beach harbor. For years a winter event called Chill took over the parking area of the Queen Mary. This year the Queen Mary itself will be transformed into a nautical winter wonderland with voyages from the Long Beach to the North Pole!
Our pal, former Disney art director Sam Carter, talked about some of the things that he’s doing at the Queen Mary to bring the new Christmas event to life. From November 23, 2018 through January 6, 2019 the Queen Mary will celebrate the first ‘Queen Mary Christmas, Where Holidays Set Sail’ event. The period will also feature entertainment from Holidays Follies, American Bombshells, The Christmas Belles Carolers, singer Rebecca Jane, The Wing Time Carolers, the quintet known as The Stargazer and the barbershop style quartet The Bank of Harmony.
Alongside the shows, there will also be plenty of activities to enjoy with your family including visiting Santa in his Captain’s Quarters, reading time with Mrs. Claus, and even ice skating on the top-most deck of the historic ocean liner.
More information about the activities, entertainment, dining and hotel accommodations can be found on this page:
