It’s #FreeComicBookDay again! The day where comic book shops and the companies that produce those artistic pieces of literature get together to spread the word about comic books. Free Comic Book Day started in 2002 after Joe Field (a retailer and writer) suggested the event in an article from 2001. It picked up traction and the first was set to coincide with the release of the film Spider-Man (May 4, 2002). Every year since, Free Comic Book Day is celebrated on the first Saturday of May (regardless of whether it coincides with a movie release). Companies like Marvel, Titan, Boom! Studios, DC, and Dark Horse Comics are just a small list of those participating again this year.
The comic releases are broken up into Gold/Silver depending on your sponsorship level. Here’s a list of the comics that will be available for #FCBD:

One of the titles we’re particularly interested in is a special release of Secret Empire that falls between #0 and #1. If you’ve been following the mind-bending saga of Captain America now leading Hydra this is one you’d be interested in getting.
