Ep211: That Industrial Look

Jul 4, 2018 | Podcast episode, Podketeers

In this episode: This week we had a chance to talk about the opening of Pixar Pier and trying some of the food available including dining at the Lamplight Lounge, celebrating National Chicken Day, checking out the new Incredibles float in the Paint the Night parade and more!

°o° --------------------- °o°

The opening of Pixar Pier brought us many new experiences including the re-imagining of Ariel’s Grotto and Cove Bar into the Lamplight Lounge. The lounge itself is gorgeous filled with Pixar concept art, movie relics, memorabilia and, of course, Easter eggs. One of the largest Easter eggs is the lounge itself! The look of the Lamplight Lounge is directly inspired by the Brooklyn building on the Pixar campus in Emeryville, CA so for those that have been fortunate enough to see the Brooklyn building in person, the Lamplight Lounge will feel like home.

We talked about the vlog that we posted regarding the opening of Pixar Pier and the Incredicoaster, here is that video!

During the episode we had a conversation chicken at the resort and VJ mentioned a video that he and AJ did for Disney Examiner comparing the chicken at Plaza Inn and Flo’s V8 Cafe to celebrate National Fried Chicken Day on July 6 (but typically runs from July 6-8th).

WARNING: Contents may look amazingly tasty and may result in you wanting some fried chicken. 😉
