Great podcast, fellas! I really enjoyed your discussion about art stemming from the short film of the 4 Disney artists all painting the same tree. As an artist I can attest to the difficulty of the struggle of trying to find the balance between imitation and exploration. I totally agree with the advice of Robert Henri and Walt Disney. It is important to learn from the great artist and teachers if art, but it is equally important to express what you see and feel in the way that you see and feel it.

Mario – Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara were awesome writers for the WWE. Here is the thing with wrestling, you do have a point when it comes to the boys helping with their storylines. Also remember when Paul Heyman was writing for SMACKDOWN! they would beat RAW in the ratings every week because the writing was so amazing and people could tell amazing stories. The problem these days IMO (btw have I mentioned I’m a pro wrestling commentator? lol) is that the story lines are so bland that the boys can’t even get behind them, themselves. The only people that can? Kevin Owens and Brock Lesnar. Why? Because their stories are essentially what you are looking for. Stories that allow the true extensions of themselves to come out and be told.
