The Dark Saber
One of the coolest visuals from The Mandalorian series on Disney+ wasn’t Grogu showing his teeth while smiling (okay, maybe it was that a little) but it was the moment we got to see the Dark Saber. Although it wasn’t the first time we’ve seen this impressive lightsaber, it was the first we go to see it in live-action form and it didn’t disappoint.
The glow of the dark saber itself is difficult to replicate without the use of CGI but the one now available at Galaxy’s Edge does a pretty good job of allowing you to bring that effect home. Check out this unboxing video we found on YouTube!
WEB Tech
As the opening of Avengers Campus approaches, new details were revealed about one of the area’s newest attractions, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. There’s going to be tons of amazing merchandise available but a certain set of new items will not only allow you to interact with the attraction but also give you an advantage.
Even the majority of the most casual gamers have heard the term “DLC” (or downloadable content). These are normally add-ons to games that you’re already purchased o enhance your gameplay, extended the life of the title, or simply provide more enjoyment. Although an in-vehicle blaster will be available on the attraction, this new “tech” is made to help you “customize” your skills to help you score higher. Upgrades can be found for Spider-Man in the form of light goggles and upgraded WEB Shooters, or some that represent Ghost-Spider (Gwen Stacey), Rescue (Pepper Potts’ Iron Man-style armor), or Iron Man himself (keep in mind that these are optional and are not required to enjoy the attraction).
