There are many secrets to Gravity Falls, the one things that’s not a secret is that the show is coming to an end. Although Disney was very vague about the actual date of the hour-long finale, “Weirdmageddon 3” is said to air sometime between January and March 2016.

By the time the final episode airs, Gravity Falls will have logged 40 (30 minute long) episodes and 17 shorts. On thing that’s clear is that the show is not being  cancelled. Alex Hirsch posted the following on his Tumblr:

Phew.

Pretty heavy stuff.

We sure are going to miss the Pines family.
